UTOPIA EP – HUNTER/GAME

For their fourth outing on Sasha’s Last Night on Earth imprint, Hunter/Game craft a sublime free-fall excursion into the heady realms of melodic techno, electronica and ambient, with exciting Milano talent Pisetzky drafted to collaborate on EP cut ‘Dystopia’. The outstanding three-tracker leads with ‘Utopia’, a hypnotizing, multi-layered gem that lives up to its heavenly title with a persistent groove that works its way towards an exciting horn-laden climax. If ‘Utopia’ is propelled by a blissful euphoria, then ‘Dystopia’ is a darker more haunting journey melodic trip produced in collaboration with Pisetzky – a member of the duo’s Just This collective and shortly due to release his debut EP on their label of the same name. Driven by intergalactic synth swirls that build towards a menacing crescendo, its otherworldly energy makes it the perfect accompaniment to the original. Rounding out the EP is the beautiful ambient offering ‘Paradigm’, reinforcing the breadth of Hunter/Game’s sonic palette.
